FATHER’S DAY

INTRODUCTION

A. A SURVEY WAS DONE AMONG CHILDREN
WHO DEMONSTRATED POSITIVE SELF
ESTEEM AND A SENSE OF PEACEFULNESS.
THE FINDINGS WERE ASTOUNDING:

NINETY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE BOYS
SAID THEIR FATHERS REGULARLY
TOLD THEM, “I LOVE YOU.”

NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT OF THE GIRLS
SAID THEIR MOTHERS TOLD THEM
REGULARLY, “I’M PROUD OF YOU, OR
YOU’RE DOING A GREAT JOB.”

NINETY-ONE PERCENT OF THE KIDS
SAID THEIR PARENTS PLAYED GAMES
WITH THEM.

NINETY-FOUR PERCENT SAID THEIR
FATHERS ATTENDED ATHLETIC
EVENTS WITH THEM.

NINETY-SEVEN PERCENT OF THE BOYS
SAID THEY GOT HUGS FROM THEIR
DADS.

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE
GIRLS SAID THEY GOT HUGS FROM
BOTH MOM AND DAD.

B. FROM THIS SURVEY ONE CAN SEE THE
IMPORTANCE OF STRONG MOMS AND DADS.

E. ON THIS FATHER’S DAY I WANT TO TAKE
THE ACROSTIC FOR FATHER AND USE IT TO
REMIND US OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A
GODLY DAD.

I. FAITHFULNESS.
