A. We live in:
1. Complex times:
-So many decisions to make.
-So many choices to consider.
-So many problems to face.
-So much to do.
-So much to think about.
2. Confusing times:
-Everything is relative.
-There, seemingly, are no absolutes.
-Moral values are rapidly being eroded
B. Is there a reliable blue print for living in
such complex and confusing times?
ILLUSTRATION: Let your fingertips do the walking.
1. There is. It's the Bible.
2.The Bible has been is a Book of unchanging prin-
ciples in an ever changing world.
C. Why the Bible?
1. It is God's Word, not man's.
2. It gives Wisdom: Every aspect of life
is dealt with.
3. It is powerful and lasting.
Matt. 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall
pass away, but my Words shall not pass
4. It is life changing.
D. Why is it not put to greater use?
(Gallup poll points out 1/4 of the population reads the Bible
less than 1x a month; 20% never.)
