BUILDING THE RIGHT STUFF INTO YOUR CHILDREN
Welcome to church. Hope you have your Bibles open. I trust many of you
attended Dr. McGee's seminar, this afternoon, at 5:00 p.m. We tried to
meet in the old sanctuary, we couldn't do it. They moved in here. Almost
packed out this downstairs. We have three, four more sessions. I hope
you'll be here. It's a wonderful, wonderful time in the life of our
church, in our city and this section of our state. We're just delighted
and thrilled with this.
Your Bibles are open. We're dealing with love, courtship, marriage,
family, you name it. It's a part of it. And we dealt, this morning, with
Deuteronomy, chapter number 6. We looked at 4 through 9, but tonight,
we're going to zero in on a couple of verses and just expand upon these
verses. Our theme is "Building the Right Stuff into Your Children".
Let's look at especially verse 6 and the first part of verse 7 of
"And these words which I command thee this day shall be in thine
heart. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children."
Let's pray together.
Father, we thank you tonight for Thy word that is so, so
unerringly true and so unerringly accurate, as it speaks to the
deepest needs in our lives. Lord, I pray now, that you will
speak. I say this not vainly or tritely, but from the depths of
my being. I pray that Thou would speak, let me get out of the
way, so that Thy word and Thy truth might be heard, received,
understood and applied into our living. For we make this prayer
in the strong, holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our
