ARE FORGIVEN
MATTHEW 6:12
THE CHANGED LIFE OF A FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST IS A
BEAUTIFUL STUDY IN CAUSE AND EFFECT, IN ACTION AND REACTION.
YOU SEE IT CLEARLY SPELLED OUT IN THE FLESH AND BLOOD
EXAMPLE OF EVERY PERSON IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. EACH HAS BEEN
LOVED BY GOD'S GREAT HEART. NOW HE BECOMES LOVING ON BEHALF
OF GOD. EACH HAS BEEN TOLD THE GOOD NEWS. NOW HE IS
TELLING THE GOOD NEWS. EACH HAS BEEN ACCEPTED IN SPITE OF
HIS SINFULNESS. NOW ALL PREJUDICE IS SLIPPED AWAY, AND HE

OTHER PEOPLE. IN THE EIGHTEENTH CHAPTER OF l'ATTHEW, HE HAS
BEEN TEACHING HIS FOLLOWERS HOW TO HANDLE HARD FEELINGS WITH
ANOTHER CHRISTIAN, EVEN WHEN IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. SIMON
PETER WANTED TO CLARIFY THIS A LITTLE, SO VERSE TWENTY-ONE
TELLS US THAT HE CAME TO JESUS AND ASKED, "LORD, HOW MANY

UNTIL SEVEN TIMES?" AND JESUS ANSWERED, "I TELL YOU NOT
TILL SEVEN TIMES, BUT UNTIL SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN." THERE IT
IS AGAIN. IF WE WANT OUR HEAVENLY FAT ...
