THE LEPER MADE CLEAN; HE TOUCHED ME

(Mark 1:39-45 NIV)
(39) So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out
demons. (40) A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are
willing, you can make me clean." (41) Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his
hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" (42) Immediately the
leprosy left him and he was cured. (43) Jesus sent him away at once with a strong
warning: (44) "See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest
and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to
them." (45)


MAR 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat,
there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious;
and she brake the box, and poured {it} on his head. (KJV)










INTRO; THE STORY OF THE LEPER

A. SIMON BEGAN THE DAY AS ANY OTHER DAY.

1. He awoke at dawn and turned to his wife and kissed her gently on the cheek.
He Gave thanks to Jehovah for the Blessings on his life. His children were
healthy and happy. Growing up into fine young men and woman. He had worked
hard and had succeeded. He lived in a fine house. He was respected by all. His
friends were many and devoted. He washed and prepared for another day.
ONLY THIS DAY WOULD CHANGE HIS LIFE FOREVER. HE NOTICED A
FEW DAYS BEFORE THAT HIS FINGERS WERE FEELING NUMB AND HIS
WIFE SAID HE LOOKED A LITTLE PALE. SIMON threw it off attributing it the
hard work. Business had been very good and kept him busy.

IT WAS THE SABBATH. Simon gathered his family and walked to the temple to
worship God and to meet friends. They were going to a feast after service with
his parents and siblings. How he looked forward to those loving family times.
