JESUS CHRIST was led as a lamb to the slaughter. He came to give
His life to ransom our souls.
I. OFFENSE
Pilate asked three questions:
A. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH JESUS? Vs. 21
Many persons want to base their beliefs and actions on the
opinion of the crowd.
"Thus saith the gang" is their guideline.
We tend to play "Follow the leader." That's OK if the right
leader is chosen. Who are the leaders of today? Michael Jackson,
Madonna, etc. Adult role models are little better.
If standing for Jesus means standing alone, are you willing to
do it?
You + Jesus = A Majority.
B. WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH JESUS? Vs. 22
Many answer as did the wife of Pilate, "Don't have anything to
do with Him."
C. WHAT HAS JESUS DONE? Vs. 23
He has set a standard that conflicts with my conduct!
Which should be changed?





II. DEFENSE "IT'S NOT MY FAULT"
"WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS?
Somebody has to lead. Someone has to take the initiative.

FORSAKE HIM
DENY HIM
There is another alternative. Paul later expressed it. We can
become identified with Him. How? "I am crucified with Christ..."
