HOW TO HAVE FAITH

FREEDOM IS FRAGILE.

IT IS EASILY ABUSED AND USED FOR SELFISH PURPOSES.

THE FOUNDERS OF OUR COUNTRY FORESAW THE DIFFICULTIES THAT WOULD
COME IF GOD WERE REMOVED FROM OUR FREEDOMS.

THE CLOSING LINE OF DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE READS,

"FOR THE SUPPORT OF THIS DECLARATION, WITH A FIRM RELIANCE ON
THE PROTECTION OF THE DIVINE PROVIDENCE, WE MUTUALLY PLEDGE TO
EACH OTHER, OUR LIVES, OUR FORTUNES, AND OUR SACRED HONOR."

THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE HAND OF GOD IN WHAT THEY WERE DOING IN
DECLARING FREEDOM!

WASHINGTON SAID IN HIS INAUGURAL ADDRESS AS PRESIDENT OF THE
USA,

"NO PEOPLE CAN BE BOUND TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND ADORE THE INVISIBLE
HAND WHICH CONDUCTS THE AFFAIRS OF MEN MORE THAN THE PEOPLE OF
THE UNITED STATES. EVERY STEP BY WHICH THEY HAVE ADVANCED TO THE
CHARACTER OF AN INDEPENDENT NATION SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN
DISTINGUISHED BY SOME TOKEN OF PROVIDENTIAL AGENCY....WE OUGHT
TO BE NO LESS PERSUADED THAT THE PROPITIOUS SMILES OF HEAVEN
CANNOT BE EXPECTED ON A NATION THAT DISREGARDS THE ETERNAL RULES
OF ORDER AND RIGHT, WHICH HEAVEN ITSELF HAS ORDAINED."

BY LAND OWNING FARMERS WITH AS LITTLE INTERFERENCE FROM
GOVERNMENT AS POSSIBLE. JEFFERSON ASKED, "CAN THE LIBERTIES OF A
NATION BE SECURE, WHEN WE HAVE REMOVED THE CONVICTION THAT THESE
LIBERTIES ARE THE GIFT OF GOD?"
