1 Corinthians 12.4-9

Now as you are turning to 1 Corinthians 12... let
me remind you that next Sunday night as a part of our
evening worship service... we are having our first
Spiritual Gift Fair!
As a young boy I always enjoyed going to the
State Fair. There were always lots of sights...
namely girls! But next Sunday night... we're not
having a State Fair... but rather a Spiritual Gift
Fair. And the focus won't be girls... but gifts:
Now that you have discovered your spiritual
gifts... it's time you begin deploying those gifts
within the life of the church. There will be various
stations around the Vision Center representing the
various ministries that we are a part of.
At each station... there will be people there for
you to visit with to help you determine if that is
where God would have you serve. This will also be the
start of our Spiritual Gift Profiling of all our
church members.
Down the road when we need people with certain
gifts for a certain ministry opportunity... all we'll
have to do is to log that information in a computer...
and in moments... we'll have the different church
members with those certain gifts!
I believe our Spiritual Gift Profiling will be a
God send! And speaking of computers... beginning next
Sunday... those who visit us on Sunday morning will
have an email from me waiting for them by the time
they arrive back home from worship.
In that email... I will let them know how good it
was for them to be here this morning... give them some
information about our church and website... and then
remind them about the evening worship service.
What an incredible day we are living in. We need
to continue taking advantage of every opportunity we
have to tell this world that Jesus saves! Amen?
