Psalm 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.
We all have all kinds of reasons that cause us to lose heart or become discouraged, downtrodden, disquieted, depressed, and desperate. So many people have lost hope because this world system is failing them, corporations are betraying them, and people are disappointing them. The condition of the world and the looming threats on our safety as a nation just complicates and multiplies the everyday stress that people carry just wanting to make ends meet and survive this life. Hopelessness sends many to brink of despair, but there is a beacon of hope for those that would put their faith in the Lord. David said, "I would have literally FAINTED if I DID NOT BELIEVE that I would see the goodness of God! He didn't say I would have fainted if God didn't show me His goodness. No. David said, I would have fainted if I did not BELIEVE to see the goodness of God in the land of the living. You see, faith is the thing that fuels the HOPE in us. Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the assurance of things hoped for. And when we put our faith in the goodness of the Lord, it is there that our strength and courage is restored.
There are many things that we are praying about. There are several unanswered prayers. There are perplexities and complications about life that we don't understand. I am sure there are areas of your life that you have questions for God about. There are things on a personal level, family level, and sphere of influence level that we need to see God's goodness in. So we are giving ourselves the opportunity to get serious about getting a hold of God so that God can get a hold of us.
That is why we are going into a time of PRAYER and FASTING beginning next Sunday 1/10 and ending Sunday 1/31. Changes for good. Fasting ...
