Press On

Christine Dallman, The Quiet Hour, December, 1997-February, 1998, p. 80

Christian music artist Billy Sprague experienced personal tragedy when his fiancee' died. He chronicled his struggle with grief in a song he entitled "Press On." Here are some of the lyrics:

In silence so black that I wished for the blues Every desperate prayerSeemed like heaven refused. And some days I found faith meant Just tying my shoes. And it was all I could do to press on....Walk on in the face of the mystery, Through the night hides the lightThrough the darkness till dawn. Tie your shoes, my dear friend, and press on.

When we simply cannot take the next step, God extends His hand to help us. By His grace, we can move through every painful trial.
