Jerry Watts has spent over 35 years as a Southern Baptist minister. For over 15 years he was a staff person serving as a Music Minister in 4 states. His college degree is from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After responding to God’s call to preach, he studied and received a Master of Theology from International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida and a Doctor of Biblical Studies from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Georgia.

Currently Jerry is the Associational Missions Director for the George Greene Baptist Association in Lucedale, Mississippi. He comes to this position after over 15 years as a vocational worship leader and over 20 years as a Senior Pastor. Most recently, he served 10 years as the Pastor of the Hueytown Baptist Church located just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Today, he preaches, consults, assists, and partners with pastors and churches to penetrate the “Darkness with the Light.” His personal web page is a resource page for Pastors (www.jerrywatts.net)

He is married for 36 years to Deboria Boone of Pensacola, Florida and they have two children, Christy and Jonathon. Christy teaches 5th Grade at the Oak Grove Elementary School in Oak Grove, Alabama. Jonathon is married to Charlotte Underwood of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and is the Student Minister at Ingalls Avenue Baptist in Pascagoula. Additionally (and most importantly) He has two grandchildren; Piper – 5 years and Dallas 4 months.
